New Patterns
Monday, November 11, 2013
I'm sorry for the delay in posting our newest patterns. I returned from quilt market in Houston, TX, unloaded the van and then drove right back to Houston. My husband and I moved his mother to Kansas City this past week. The movers are unloading her furniture into her new apartment today. I have just enough time to post on the blog, go to the warehouse and ship some books and patterns and finally help Dave's mom unpack. This move is a bit hard as she has been in her home for 40 years and she's 91 years old. She's remarkable for her age though!
The above pattern was last month's Loose Feathers (#4) and is now in the shops. The large leaves are done with the satin stitch. They change as the light is reflected on the smooth surface of the stitch.
This is number 5 and will be in the shops very soon.
Give Thanks is the second in our sewing box series. The designs are mounted into a 6" wooden box made by Stephanie Elmer of Lone Elm Lane - Early Wooden Wares.
Until later dear friends!
Alma

Gosh Alma, I'm hesitant to move after 10 years in the home. Can't imagine what it is like after 40! Good luck with everything! Is this year just zipping by? Faster and faster! Busier and busier! Hope you have a little bit of free time to enjoy and thanks for posting your new designs!
ReplyDeleteOh I think I need to get this Sewing Box series!
ReplyDeleteThat is one major move for your mother in law - hope that she settles in nicely.
ReplyDeleteAll patterns look super and lovely, hope you post pics from quilt market also and show us what's new. I haven't seen anything so far and you always have the best. xo
I wish your Mother in Law all the best in her new house, it will be difficult for her, I know because my mother (95) moved three months ago, but now she is feeling fine in her new livingspace. She lived in the familyhouse for 57 years!
ReplyDeleteLove the new patterns, greetings

Lovely, they're all lovely. I'm on automatic for the box series with my LNS. I just love the new design and I'm almost finished with the first one. One question: Looking at the last Moda Quilt show your booth displayed an Alphabet Quilt. What's the name of it, the pattern or book? I'd like to purchase it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much doing it nice to see that this page will remain very readable , and well explained . Thank you for your speed.
ReplyDeleteGood day to you ...

We recently had to move my MIL and she is finally settling in to her new place, but it is a big change after being in one place for so long. Love all yours and Barb's new pieces. You two consistently offer such beautiful designs and they just seem to top themselves every time. Thank you for sharing your talents.
ReplyDeleteYou need to take time out for you - I find that life is just one rush around lately - lovely designs x
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely!
ReplyDeleteIts like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.affiliatespam
