Hmm...what is your mystery item??? Well, at first I thought it might be comfy running pants with the strips on the side; but the fabric looked more like a soft homespun knit (rather than 'active wear' knit). So, I'm going to say a wrap/shawl instead. It looks soft and warm! Something a person would love wearing on a cool day/evening!

I guess it's a linen-type tunic.

I'm going to guess it's one of those guaze/linen type 'hoodies' that were popular in the 70's possibly. They weren't the same as what most of us know as a hoodie but, instead they were very loose with a hood and pocket in the front too but made from a guaze/linen type fabric and so comfy.

This looks like a hand knit scarf. I can picture it wrapped around your shoulders and secured with a bright red pin.
