    I love the DMC machine embroidery threads. They come in wonderful colors and the thread is lighter weight. But really any cotton machine embroidery thread works great...the most important thing is to match the applique piece.

    The rings are from 7 Gypsies. Google their name and you will see all of their wonderful scrap booking items. I've tried spray painting the regular silver rings...and those turn out great too.
