Our first contest
Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Here it is....the sampler pattern. We are turning this into a contest. Stitch this while we are in France. Send a picture of your completed project to my e-mail address alma@blackbird-designs.com
Barb and I will purchase some fun items in France for the winner. Your picture will be your entry to the drawing. Believe me ....Barb and I are good shoppers. We leave for France on April 18th and return April 27th. So your picture must be to me by the 27th. The contest winner will be announced April 29th. We need a bit of time to recover after the trip.
This is not a design contest. We will draw names from the pictures submitted. Hopefully we can post pictures of the "fun items" as we find them in France. My daughter is taking her computer and I hope to put it to good use.
Get ready....get set.....GO!

Alma, if you teach me how to stitch a sampler like this, I'll not only show you how to turn a heel in sock knitting, I'll personally knit you as many as you'd like from here to eternity. My life will never be complete til I stitch a sampler. (sigh...and wink)
ReplyDeleteAlma,
ReplyDeleteSomeday I would love to take a lesson with you too. The Red Sampler is tempting, I think I could get supplies organized in time for your return. I will definitely look forward to seeing what you purchase for your prize.
Best wishes on your trip, sounds wonderful.

Hope your trip to France is good.
I just found this the other day. Wed I think.I started on April 22 but then read the name after I was half done and seen Rouge~~~ Red...
ReplyDeleteMy first was in blue, lol. So yesterday I looked for and found some reds and started # 2. I got it done today. This was such a fun little stitch! Thank you! And thanks that I could take part!
I started on this Friday night and stitched on it this weekend. I stitched until 8:00pm last night and got through all of it except 2 rows of the alphabet. I wanted to enter so badly. I emailed Vonna and ask her how she stitches soooooo fast! I just couldn't get it finished in time, but love the pattern. I will email my picture when I do finish it. I am having fun with it and wish I could have finished in time to enter the contest. Thanks for the beautiful pattern and the fun!!! Amy
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not too late, I would like to enter also!! Have a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteI love your blogg and all nice work !!!
